Sacramento, CA - Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Martin will undergo surgery on Monday to repair a left wrist fracture.
Martin is expected to miss a minimum of eight weeks following the surgery, which will fix a non-displaced hairline fracture.
In his sixth season out of Western Carolina, Martin is averaging 30.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game through five contests in 2009-10.
Nets' Yi has MCL sprain
East Rutherford, NJ - New Jersey Nets forward Yi Jianlian was diagnosed with a sprained medial collateral ligament of his right knee the team announced on Tuesday, but no timetable for his return was given.
After undergoing an MRI, it was determined the 7-foot Yi had a Grade 1 sprain of the knee. He suffered the injury during Monday's 79-68 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. He was hurt during the third quarter when he collided with Charlotte's Gerald Wallace and was helped off the court.
Before leaving the game, Yi had four points and six rebounds.
