By Wesley Chism - For the most part, many of you haven’t had the chance to see Josh Pace, the 6’5” guard, play since he was part of the Syracuse University team that won the NCAA National Championship in 2003.

“Being a part of the Syracuse championship team was one of my proudest moments. It’s something that has great historical value to our school and that will be around long after I’m gone”, stated Josh.

Well, I can tell you that not much about him has changed since then. He still does whatever is asked of him for the benefit of the team and continues to win on all levels.

He won the Estonian National Championship and the Estonian National Cup as a member of BC Kalev Cramo while playing in the Baltic League.

Pace played for the Nelson Giants in the New Zealand NBL league winning another Championship while being named League MVP.

While Josh was with the East Kentucky Miners in the CBA he averaged 23 ppg, 7.1 rps, and 4.4 apg.

Josh Pace has matured immensely since leaving Syracuse University and is not only becoming a better player but also learning the business of basketball.

“I’m closely looking at the NBA D-League for Josh this year”, stated his agent Nate McCray. “After crunching the numbers I noticed that 84 former D-League players were on NBA roosters last season”, he continued.

Pace has barley been back in the United States for two weeks and realizes that there’s no off time if he wants capture his dream of playing in the NBA.

“This summer I’m working intensely on my defense and learning how to be a better facilitator with the ball when my teammates are in scoring position.”

At this time there are several offers from teams in Europe and his Agent has a workout schedule for him in July with the Maccabi Haifa Heat in Israel’s Premiere League. “We have our options,” stated Nate.

Josh can do a little bit of everything and is comfortable playing the 1 or 2 position. He’s proved that he can score called upon and has been consistent with the ball in his hand.

This upcoming basketball season Josh Pace is going to show us all what we’ve been missing as he prepares for the NBA D-League draft that's going to be held on November 5th.
